 Fred Calixtro is an alumnus of the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center (UERMMMC). After passing the Philippine RN Board Examination, he worked at the Philippine Heart Center for Asia and the Armed Forces Cardiac Center.
His past and present experiences are focused on critical care (medical and surgical) and cardiac recovery (post-open and -closed heart surgery and heart transplant). He is working as a Professor of Nursing at Linfield College and staff RN at St. Vincent Hospital in Portland, OR, USA. He is teaching medical-surgical, advanced physical assessment, fundamentals (skills), and NCLEX-RN review classes. He is also incorporating NCLEX-RN style questions in all of his classroom examinations and quizzes.
Fred comes to Manila with a wealth of experience in the clinical and classroom setting. He is currenlty pursuing a PhD in Computer Technology in Education. His research interest is using simulation in nursing education.
